African Inspired Fall Tablescape

Hello Friends! I'm so excited to share this beautiful African inspired tablescape with you. I was asked to create a virtual cooking workshop for the women's ministry at my church. I knew that I needed to come up with a concept that was easy to achieve yet, elegant in design and display.

I used dishes that came from my travels throughout Africa. The placemats are from my dear friend Dumi, owner of Sithabe Crafts. You can find them here. The warm and vibrant colors of the table and the dishes I prepared are meant to inspire cheer and comfort, especially during this chilly season.

When setting a tablescape of any kind, be sure to include:

- Colors (variations of the same or similar colors)

- Placemats and Chargers

- Candles

- Napkins

- Napkin Holders

- Cutlery

- Glassware

Don't be afraid to be creative and use different sizes, shapes and colors! Patterns do not always have to match or be uniform.

Bring out your best china and cutlery. Don't keep them locked away. Use them and enjoy the experience of eating on great china from time to time. Don't save luxury for just your special guests.
