VIDEO: Mapula's Holiday Party Spread

As winter makes its frosty entrance, invite the girlfriends over to finish off the evening with a snack and dessert. Because you're a planner, you'd have already set up a small side table or your coffee table with your sweet treats that you prepared earlier in the day or even the day before.

You arrive home, quickly light the wood logs in the fireplace...your friends are comfortable and relaxed with small chatter and discussion about the movie you've all just seen, and we are set for an evening of fun, games and wonderful desserts and light snack. Oh, don't forget, background music is a must. You may hear John Legend's sultry singing voice in the video below! A little bit of nostalgia and some of everyone's favorite drinks.

Here's what we served on such an evening. Rich Shortbread triangles and rounds, Cherry Milk Fudge, Mexican Wedding Cookies, Mince Pies, Blackcurrant Whirls and Antiguan Rum Cake, Sherry, Stones Ginger Wine, Port and Cognac. Smoked Salmon, creme fraiche and French Baguette.

Share your time and space with people you love; reach out to the lonely; help the sick; provide for the poor and give all thanks and praise to God for the bounty he has bestowed upon you.
